Hey there! My name is Melissa and I am a graphic designer with over 10 years experience as a freelance and in-house designer doing production work, branding design, and layout design.
I graduated from Dallas Baptist University with a bachelor of arts in Graphics Design in 2014. At DBU, I had privilege to work for three years as a designer, photographer and Editor of the DBU Yearbook Department. I’ve had miscellaneous freelance jobs in between including: styled shoots, print & web design for local churches & nonprofits, a professional internship, custom vintage wedding invitations, identity design, and small company brands and logos.

After college, I started working as the lead graphic designer for Alphagraphics in Rockwall, TX in June 2014. I learned first hand what it meant to be a designer for the print and large format worlds in a fast-paced deadline driven environment. For two and a half years, I became proficient in problem solving and time management, working on many different projects for different clients daily.
Starting a new chapter in 2016, I worked Lake Pointe Church in Rockwall, Texas, for 6.5 years. My focus was working with Lake Pointe's six campuses and each of their different ministries creating full-scale branding packages for camps, events, and mailing campaigns. I was promoted to Graphic Designer II after 2.5 years and grew as a large event/branding specialist.
In 2022, I felt the calling to become a self-employed freelance designer and to grow my business, Honey Louise Design.
